Overview
Lynn Creek Placers is a four-mile placer channel in the Lynn Mining District, Eureka County, situated 28 km from Carlin in the heart of the Carlin Trend. The placer hosts very fine gold averaging 920–960 fineness, derived from mineralized shear zones in the chert and shale of the Vinini Formation. Indicated reserves exceed one million cubic yards, with workings comprising numerous cuts, pits, trenches, and shafts. Recorded operations date to 1952 under the Ura Gold Mines Co.
